Travel Delays and Homelessness

I haven't even left for Thailand yet and already this week I've spent way too much time in airports.  Coming back from Mike's Bachelor party in Colorado, which was filled with white water rafting during a thunderstorm, lots of beer and a free round of drinks courtesy of the CSU football coach, Jeff and I got stuck in the Denver airport for 6 hours because our flights was delayed.  Sleeping on the floor of the airport is not comfortable.

Yesterday I moved out of my house in Somerville.  I no longer live, work or study at Tufts.  It's strange since it's been my entire life for the past 6 years.  That will definitely take a while to get used to.  So many great memories and friendships.  Anyway, time to look to the future not the past.

Today I'm going to buy a hundred things I need to get ready for my trip and go for a run since I'll be sitting down for 29 hours tomorrow (it's gonna be a really long day).

So, the point of this blog is obviously to tell you about my travels through Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.  But I thought I would try to take a unique view on my travels by running almost everyday on my trip and reporting what the places look smell and feel like while I'm running.  I'm also trying to improve my writing.  If you have suggestions on my writing or ideas for my blog, please let me know.  I'll try to update this every 2 -3 days so you have things to read while you're bored at work.

For those of you that don't know where Thailand is or what happens there, check out these pictures:

I'll be in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam over the next 5 weeks.
The beaches are supposed to be amazingly beautiful and secluded.
That's Tarik, who I'm going with.

Well, I hope everyone has a great summer.  Please comment on the blog or send me emails: Peter.Sneeringer@gmail.com.
